    Search & Playback

    • Search Jump has been completely reworked. Clicking a search result now loads that exact moment much faster than before.
    • Added Jump to Word shortcut (⌘J) for instant navigation to any word in the transcript.

    • Project covers are now available in the library - you can attach an image file to a project e.g. YouTube thumbnails.

    DaVinci Resolve Export

    • We've now added an Export pane with native Lua-based DaVinci Resolve export which creates you a .drp file (This is currently marked as beta).

    Export

    • You can now toggle on/off native titles for your exports.
    • fcpxmld packages are built more reliably when re-using existing media for variants.

    Transcript

    • Find within Transcript now triggers even when your focus isn't within the transcription pane.
    • Transcript marquee selection now stays within its bounds.
    • Timestamp ranges are now correct when disabled words are in the mix.
    • Disabled words at the end of a video no longer flash a few frames.

    Variants

    • When creating a variant duplicate the profanity settings now reliable copy to the new variant.

    Major Performance Upgrade

    • The internal engine has mostly been rewritten to use a binary format contract with the UI, which means loading projects, searching, making edits will feel much smoother.

    Conversions

    • You can now automatically converted MP3's to M4A's (this is a toggle in the Settings, off by default)

    Custom Profanity Symbol

    • You can now set your own custom symbol to replace profane words (emojis too, anything your keyboard can type)

    History

    • A new Reset History button has been added, letting you wipe the undo/edit history for a project when you want a clean slate.

    Transcript

    • Jump to Word from a word context menu was jumping to the wrong playback position in some cases, this is now fixed and it accurately jumps to where the word is.
    • The timestamp or range is shown on the right click menu when selecting a word or group.
    • Enabling disabled words will no longer un-hide filler words.
    • If a transcript reset operation fails partway through, the rollback now correctly restores your previous transcript and profanity preferences rather than leaving things in a mixed state.
    • You can now reset the order of your edits via the more options menu.
    • We added a filter toggle to choose what to see in the pane.
    • Added .ass Advanced Sub Station sidecar files.
    • You can now use ⌘C to copy selected word or group selection to your clipboard.

    Metadata

    • Audio-only projects were sometimes showing a Video Source section in the metadata pane when there was no video, this false information no longer appears.

    General

    • Added a hover highlight effect on split-view panel dividers.

    Transcript

    • Added multi-sentence/group reordering, including keyboard nudging for complete sentence selections.
    • Improved marquee selection with smoother autoscroll, better row-edge detection, and more reliable word/sentence selection behavior.
    • Shift-click can now add or remove individual words from the transcript selection.
    • Sentence move handles are disabled for partial-word selections, with clearer feedback that only complete sentences can be reordered.
    • Added Re-Apply button for filler words and profanity, so visible leftover matches can be filtered again if added manually.

    • FCPXML exports can now write sidecar files alongside the package in `.txt`, `.csv`, `.srt`, `.vtt`, and `.sbv` formats (toggle from Export in Settings).
    • Improved FCP timeline creation for edge cases on reordered transcript rows, disabled words and skipped material.

    Media Player

    • Improved video seek and scrubbing reliability, especially around rapid interactions and same-file reloads.
    • Fixed stale pending seek state when loading the same media URL again.

    Media Compatibility

    • Added a refresh action to the conversion/compatibility screen for cases where compatibility status is stale.

    Search & Shortcuts

    • Fixed global search regressions involving transcript search (sorry!).
    • Tightened shortcut handling so transcript find shortcuts do not fire while unrelated editable fields are focused.
    • Settings → Keyboard now includes the Find in Transcription shortcut label.

    Media Player

    • Added J/K/L shuttle controls: J shuttles reverse, L shuttles forward, repeated presses ramp speed, and K pauses/enables precision frame stepping with J/L.

    Transcription

    • The transcript bottom bar now shows total words plus disabled, low-confidence, filler, and profanity counts when present.
    • Find within Transcript (⌘⌥F) adds in-transcript search, result highlighting, and result navigation via buttons or shortcuts (⌘G, ⌘⇧G).
    • Added marquee selection for transcript sentences and words, making bulk edits easier.

    Normalization

    Markers

    • Markers have arrived. Press M at the playhead to add a marker, then give it a name. All markers export cleanly to Final Cut Pro.
    • Markers now appear on the scrub bar for quick visual reference across tabs and projects.
    • Added Jump to Marker to each marker’s menu to snap playback to that exact timeline position.

    Transcription

    • Select multiple projects at once to trigger bulk transcription ⌘A and deselect with ⌘⇧A.
    • Individual projects can also be transcribed directly from their context menu.
    • Fixed text wrapping in edit mode when a word is longer than the one before it.
    • The cursor now hides during transcription edits to reduce distraction, then reappears when you finish.
    • Added Jump to Word to each word’s menu to snap playback to that exact point.
    • Copy Transcription now copies the active edited text rather than the raw baseline transcription.

    Export

    • Fixed an issue where Final Cut Pro exports could incorrectly attach stale media. This rare case occurred when re-importing Sequence-generated normalized audio back into the app, which then mistakenly bundled the original media into the audio project on export.

    Player

    • Disabled words in audio projects are now properly excluded from exports.

    Profanity Filter

    • Improved profanity audio mode handling in exports and playback.
    • The ‘beep’ sound effect is now generated at the exact length needed to keep file sizes small.

    • Transcription behavior now respects project length to optimize model loading across ANE, CPU, and GPU.

    • We now use a beam cursor to indicate the current word, and it is now more precise.
    • The model cache is now used consistently. Previously, it was sometimes ignored.
