FAQ

What is Sequence Tool?

Sequence Tool is a native macOS app to help your content media workflows. It’s your pre-export toolkit for Final Cut Pro, helping you prepare and work with media before you add your final brand polish in FCP.

What transcription model does Sequence use?

Sequence uses NVIDIA’s Parakeet v3, one of the most accurate speech recognition models available. We’ve converted it to Core ML so it runs entirely on your Mac using Apple’s Neural Engine, CPU and GPU, meaning transcription is fast, efficient, and completely private with no audio ever leaving your device.

What Mac hardware and macOS version do I need?

Sequence requires macOS Sequoia 15 or later and Apple Silicon, that means from M1 onwards only.

How does pricing work?

$130 one-time purchase, allows you to activate on up to 2 Macs. For region-specific pricing check out the Pricing page.

During a transcription how much RAM is used?

The model requires roughly 5.5GB of RAM while loaded in memory. Memory is automatically released after each transcription completes and the cooldown period ends.

How do I get help or report a bug?

Either report an issue through the app, or use the Contact Support button in the footer of this website.

How do I report a security issue?

Do not file a public GitHub issue for vulnerabilities; our security policy requests you to submit private reports and coordinated disclosure. Visit our dedicated page for this.
