Cookie Policy
Last updated: 22 March 2026.
This policy describes how we use cookies on the Sequence Tool® website. For a fuller explanation of how we process personal data (including website analytics), see our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are often used to keep you signed in, maintain security, or deliver the site reliably.
2. Cookies we use on this website
Strictly necessary: We use cookies that are essential for the website and account features to work, including session and authentication cookies. These cannot be turned off if you want to sign in or use parts of the Service that require an account.
Cloudflare: Our site is delivered through Cloudflare (CDN and security). Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies (for example __cf_bm and related security cookies) for bot management, abuse protection, and related security and performance purposes.
Website analytics and session replay (PostHog): Our website analytics runs in a cookieless configuration — it does not set analytics cookies and does not use local storage for analytics tracking. We also run session replay on selected marketing and product pages at approximately 50% sampling, with masking and safeguards to reduce capture of sensitive information. How events and replay data are collected and processed is described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not use advertising cookies on the Sequence Tool® website. Because we do not use non-essential cookies on the website, we do not display a cookie consent banner. Under UK PECR (and similar rules), strictly necessary cookies do not require consent in the same way as non-essential cookies.
Session cookies are typically removed when you close your browser; other cookies may persist for a limited period required for their purpose.
3. How to control cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking or removing strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using certain features. For more information, see your browser’s help section or visit aboutcookies.org.
4. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in law. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
