Import Your Media

Create a Sequence project from local media, understand the workspace panes, and avoid common import issues.

Import media

Open Sequence and choose the import action from the empty state, the shortcut (⌘I), the plus icon in the library pane or File menu.
Select a local video or audio file. Sequence validates the file and stores a record of the metadata associated to the file - press the toolbar icon to reveal all of the details about your media.
If a file is moved later, use missing-media relinking rather than re-importing the same project, allowing you to retain all of your edits without starting afresh.
If the media isn’t compatible, allow Sequence to remux or convert your media (this doesn’t override your original unless you specifically set that in the settings)
