Getting Started

Install Sequence, activate, import media, and understand the workspace.

  1. Import Your Media Create a Sequence project from local media, understand the workspace panes, and avoid common import issues.
  2. Activate Sequence & Manage Account Sign in, activate a license, view account details, and understand your offline access.

On-Device Transcription

Download the local model, transcribe media, adjust captions, and clean up transcripts with text-based edits.

  1. Download Core ML optimized Model Use Sequence's local Core ML model powered by Parakeet V3 for for private speech-to-text transcription.
  2. Transcribe, Edit & Clean-up Generate transcripts, edit words, re-order sentences, remove filler words, and mask profanity.
  3. Tune Caption Behavior Control sentence grouping, caption line length, and words per caption for title exports into FCP.

Export to Final Cut Pro

Export Sequence variants right into Final Cut Pro, native titles, tracks for video and audio with fade-in-out audio on profanity or filler cuts.

  1. Export to Final Cut Pro Work with native titles, and media prepared by Sequence, right in Final Cut Pro.

Manage Media

Convert incompatible media, normalize audio, add external audio, relink missing files, and create variants.

  1. Convert Incompatible Media Use Media Compatibility to either convert or remux your media so it plays in Final Cut Pro.
  2. Normalize Audio Prepare consistent audio using LUFS target loudness, dynamic range, and true peak limiting controls.
  3. Organize Projects with Catalogs and Variants Use catalogs, and project variants to keep your media library tidy.

Settings and Troubleshooting

Configure shortcuts, notifications, how captions are created, export preferences, profanity redact keywords and filler word vocabulary.

  1. Keyboard Shortcuts & App Settings Adjust shortcuts, launch behavior, notifications, privacy, and cache management from Settings.
